1. In a large saucepan, add the Beef and the Gammon,
no need to chop.
2. Wash and chop the vegetables and add these to
the pan.
3. Cover with cold water and slowly bring to the
boil.
4. Turn down the heat and simmer for 2-3 hours.
5. Strain off the liquid into a bowl and put the
meat to one side. (meat can be used for a meatloaf)
6. Sieve the vegetables into the liquid, season
with salt and pepper and serve hot with warm crusty
bread.
